Singkamas
La jícama, pelenga, yacón* o nabo mexicano es una planta leguminosa originaria de México, Centroamérica, Perú y Ecuador, cultivada especialmente por sus raíces tuberosas, las cuales son comestibles. El origen de la palabra jícama es del náhuatl xīcama o xīcamatl.
